1. What this service is

Visalia Fence & Wall is an independent local resource, not a fence or masonry contractor. We publish fence and block wall cost and planning research for Visalia-area homeowners and pass requests to independent, California-licensed fencing and masonry companies who do the actual work.

When you submit a quote request or call the number on this site, you are asking us to pass your request to an independent fencing or masonry company. That company is a separate business. It is not our employee, agent, partner or subcontractor, and we do not control its pricing, scheduling, workmanship, licensing or insurance. Any agreement to perform work is between you and that company alone.

2. What we do not do

• We do not build, install, repair, remove or quote fences, gates, block walls or retaining walls, and we do not send anyone to your property.
• We do not hold, and do not claim to hold, a California Contractors State License Board license of any classification. Fence work in California is licensed C-13 Fencing Contractor work, whose official scope excludes masonry walls; concrete block and retaining wall work is C-29 Masonry Contractor work. Companies in our network report their own license classification and insurance to us — we do not independently verify it on an ongoing basis, and you should confirm the license yourself at cslb.ca.gov before hiring.
• We do not obtain permits, mark property lines, or locate underground utilities. Permit rules differ between the cities of Visalia, Tulare, Exeter, Porterville and Hanford and the unincorporated areas of Tulare and Kings County; the company doing the work, or the jurisdiction's building department, is the right source for what your project needs.
• We do not guarantee that any company will contact you, accept your job, be available when you need it, or perform to any standard. We do not guarantee the price you are quoted.

3. Using the site

You may use this site only for lawful purposes and only to request work on property you own, rent, or are authorized to arrange work for. You agree that the information you submit is accurate and that the phone number you provide is yours or one you are authorized to give. You may not scrape, copy, republish or mirror the site's content, submit false or automated requests, or interfere with the site's operation.

4. No professional advice; cost figures are estimates

The cost guides, material comparisons, licensing and legal explainers, and every other article on this site are general information, offered to help you ask better questions. They are not engineering, construction, legal, financial or real-estate advice, and they are not a quote. Every dollar figure on the site is drawn from dated, cited third-party sources and labelled by how local that source is; actual prices in Tulare and Kings County depend on your specific site, soil, footage, access and permit requirements, and only a written quote from the company that will do the work is binding. Legal and licensing statements are accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the date shown on the page that makes them and are rechecked periodically, but laws and fee schedules change — confirm anything you are relying on with the agency named.

5. Phone calls

Calls to the number on this site are routed through a call-tracking service and may be recorded. California Penal Code § 632 requires the consent of every party before a phone call is recorded, so every call begins with a recorded notice; staying on the line after the notice is your consent. Our Privacy Policy describes recording, retention and your choices in full.

6. SMS / text-message program

Program description. Visalia Fence & Wall offers an optional text-message program related to your quote request. If you check the consent box on the request form, you agree that Visalia Fence & Wall and the independent fencing or masonry company connected to your request may send you text messages about that request — for example to confirm we received it, to let you know which company has been assigned, or so that company can reach you to schedule a site visit. Messages are transactional and relate only to your request; this program does not send promotional or marketing texts.

Consent is optional. The consent box is unchecked by default, and checking it is not a condition of receiving quotes or of any purchase. You can submit the form without it.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies depending on your request. Most requests generate only a handful of messages.

Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan.

Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to cancel at any time. You will receive one final confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent unless you opt in again. You can also opt out through the contact page.

Help. Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or use the contact page.

Age restriction. You must be at least 18 years old to opt in to the SMS program. By checking the consent box you confirm that you are 18 or older and that you are the account holder for the mobile number provided, or have the account holder's permission.

Carrier liability. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to effective transmission from your carrier and network availability.

Privacy. How SMS opt-in data is collected, used and protected — including our commitment that it is never sold or shared with third parties for their marketing — is described in §4 of our Privacy Policy.

7. Your relationship with the companies we refer

Once a company contacts you, everything that follows — the estimate, the contract, the scheduling, the work, any warranty, and any dispute — is between you and that company. We recommend you obtain a written estimate, verify the C-13 or C-29 license at cslb.ca.gov, ask about insurance, and never pay in full before work is complete. We may receive a fee from companies for requests we pass to them; that fee is never charged to you and does not affect the price you are quoted.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any company we refer will meet your needs.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AuthenitcBrand, LLC and its owners, staff and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of property, profits or data, arising from your use of the site or from any work performed, not performed, or quoted by an independent company you were referred to — including damage to a fence, wall, landscaping, utility line or neighboring property. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed one hundred dollars, because the site is free to use. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, in which case they apply to the maximum extent permitted.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AuthenitcBrand, LLC from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the site, your violation of these terms, or false information you submit.

11. Intellectual property

The text, structure, graphics and code of this site belong to AuthenitcBrand, LLC or its licensors. Licensed photography remains the property of its rights holders. You may link to any page; you may not reproduce substantial portions of the content without written permission.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to the site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Tulare County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Disputes with an independent company are governed by whatever agreement you make with it, not by these terms.

13. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, with the effective date above updated. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept it. Changes to the SMS program terms in §6 will be flagged at the top of this page for at least 30 days.
