What this site is

Visalia Fence & Wall is an independent local resource, not a fence or masonry contractor. We publish fence and block wall cost and planning research for Visalia-area homeowners and pass requests to independent, California-licensed fencing and masonry companies who do the actual work.

That is the whole business. There is no crew, no truck, and no yard behind this website. When you fill out a form here, one independent company that serves your address gets the request and contacts you directly with its own quote. We are the research and the introduction; they are the estimate, the contract and the work.

Who runs it

Visalia Fence & Wall is operated by AuthenitcBrand, LLC, a Nevada company that builds and runs local home-services resource sites for specific trades in specific cities. Visalia and the surrounding Tulare and Kings County area is one of them. The people who write and maintain these pages are researchers and editors, not fence installers or masons — which is exactly why every page leans on cited sources and on the independent, licensed companies who do the actual work, rather than on our own opinions about how a fence should be built.

Why fence and wall

Most fence websites treat a block wall as a kind of fence. California's Contractors State License Board does not. A C-13 Fencing Contractor's license covers fences, gates, railings and posts, and its official scope specifically excludes masonry walls. Concrete block and retaining walls are C-29 Masonry Contractor work. A company can hold both classifications, and many hold just one. That distinction is the reason this site exists in the shape it does: it names both trades, sorts each request into the right license lane, and tells you which classification to look up before you hire. How the research is done

Three rules govern every page:

1. Every dollar figure is sourced and dated, and labelled by how local it is. The cost tables on this site come from national benchmarks — HomeGuide, Angi and Inch Calculator — each named with the date we pulled it. They are not Visalia averages. No local fence or block wall pricing study exists yet for this market, so we say so plainly rather than dress up a national number as a local one. Figures live in one shared data file so a correction happens once and shows up everywhere. Last verified 2026-09-13.
2. Local and legal facts come from primary sources or are left out. County lines (Hanford is Kings County; Tulare, Exeter and Porterville are Tulare County), CSLB classification scopes, California's shared-fence statute, the call-before-you-dig rule — each is cited to the agency or statute that publishes it. Where a fact hasn't been sourced yet — Visalia's fence permit height thresholds, for example — the page says "not yet sourced" instead of guessing. That is also why there is no permit guide on this site yet.
3. No social proof we can't stand behind. No star ratings, no review counts, no "trusted by thousands." When real project photos and reviews from matched companies exist and we have permission to show them, they will appear with that company's name attached.

What happens to a quote request

You describe the job — new fence, replacement, block wall, gate, repair — and where it is. We route that to one independent company that covers your address and handles that kind of work. The company is named before you submit. They contact you, look at the site, and give you a written quote. You can take it or leave it; there is no cost to you and no obligation. The optional consent box on the form only governs whether the named company may text or use an automated call to reach you; it is unchecked by default and is never required to get quotes.

Companies we pass requests to report holding an active California CSLB license — C-13 Fencing Contractor for fence work, C-29 Masonry Contractor for block and retaining walls — and insurance. Verify any contractor yourself at cslb.ca.gov before hiring.

What this site is not

• Not a contractor. We hold no CSLB license of any classification and never claim one.
• Not a lead marketplace. One request goes to one company, not to five who all call you.
• Not a source of quotes. Only the company that will do the work can quote it.
• Not legal, engineering or permit advice. Where we explain a statute or a permit process, it is background to help you ask better questions of the city, county or your attorney.
